How to Use Traffic Exchanges to Generate “Free” MLM Leads Efficiently
Traffic Exchanges are of interest to MLM recruiters as a source of Free leads because they are populated by our natural prospects, namely internet marketers looking for Traffic and opportunities.
The main problem is that it takes too long to generate any great volume of traffic credits, so the unit cost of a recruit is high in time expended.
For those of you who just don’t have the finance for paid traffic, I offer these tips to raise your productivity and reduce your time spent per member recruited.
SOME SECRETS OF TE SUCCESS:
Use only the top manual exchanges (see Traffic Hoopla ratings) – most of the rest are a total waste of time.
Traffic Hoopla is an independent ratings agency with useful links to the better exchanges. A link to Traffic Hoopla is provided in the author resource box below.
You should limit the exchanges you use and usually it pays to upgrade to Pro (paid) status. Paid upgrades in the top exchanges are generally good value.
Paid members get many more credits for their surfing and may also benefit from random referrals to their downline. Usually there is a monthly allocation of traffic included in your subscription.
When surfing it is best to set a regular date to go surfing without interruption and use a multi-tabbed browser (e.g. Internet Explorer 7 or Firefox) to run several surfs at the same time so that you are never kept waiting to click and claim your credit. If you are interested in a page, “control click” opens a new page to read at your leisure and releases the original page to be clicked off for credit.
You must build a downline to make TEs work economically with your time. To achieve this you reinvest a percentage (say 20% to 50%) of all your surfing credits into promoting your other exchanges. As your downline builds you will then get Free traffic credits from your downline’s surfing. This is a cumulative process like compound interest. It starts slowly but you get to a point where you receive steady traffic without surfing much at all yourself.
Advertising with a splash page (cost about $25) usually works better than your full sales letter. In a TE you get maybe 3 seconds to engage attention and then you’ve lost ‘em. So you use the splash page as a graphic intensive headline to grab attention.
Then when they click the splash page you open your full sales letter as a new page. Because the new page does not interrupt surfing and is not overwritten – it may actually get read.
You should track all your advertising – without fail.
Testing and comparison. Reinforcing the strong and culling the weak. This is how nature works – it’s called Evolution. And we all know that it works, don’t we?
You will find vast discrepancies between different ads and different traffic exchanges. The strangest little quirks make big differences to an ad’s performance. Tracking, Testing and Tweaking will do more for your productivity than any other improvement.
SUMMARY
Stick to the top exchanges and upgrade to PRO; organize your time; build a downline; use splash pages; TRACK, TEST and TWEAK
I wish you Happy and Productive Surfing – but not too much of it! Your time is valuable, so don’t delude yourself that Traffic Exchange leads come free. Limit the time you spend on Traffic Exchanges and push hard to make that time as productive as you can make it.

Best Lead Customers Are MLM Managers
If a company focuses on lead generation for the purpose of selling the leads, they need customers. Having a pile of names and addresses may be considered a good start but without the customer for the leads, it can be a waste of time and resources. Some of the best customers for leads, especially for leads to individuals interested in multilevel marketing opportunities are other multilevel marketers.
Realistically, a company that can successfully generate leads for a marketing MLM network could probably be successful selling just about anything. However, following up on the leads may take more time and effort than they are willing to put into making a living so they take the leads they generated and sell them to other marketers.
Those in love with multilevel marketing are always on the look out for new prospects, and since most have already alienated their warm market, are forced into the cold market to find new customers for their marketing program. Marketing managers are usually the type that have the enthusiasm needed to succeed in business as well as a thorough understanding of how multilevel marketing works. They also understand the need for leads to grow any type of business.
The ability to turn a cold market into a hot prospect takes special talent and while multilevel marketers fails during the initial weeks or months following their initial entry into the market, others are not ready to admit defeat or failure and rely on new leads to which to make their pitch. Their determination to succeed make them ideal targets for lead generating companies, however many of them could market to their own customers or their downline in the MLM program.
Companies online continue to try to generate their own leads for multilevel marketing by offering incentives for each individual they send to the company with an interest in becoming part of the market. This worked well with companies in the past that sold home cleaning supplies, brushes, makeup and even vacuum cleaners. Constantly pushing sales while offering rewards for bringing in a new distributor, typically all the distributor has to do was get an individual interested in doing what they do and the company would do the hard sell.
Those who believe that multilevel marketing does not involve sales, they are surely in the wrong business. Whether s product or service is being marketed, the real sales begin with selling the idea as well as the company. People who believe in the product make the best sales persons for the product and if they become successful, they will have the most influence in other’s decision of joining the program. Word of mouth advertising does not only work with a product, it works well in recruiting others in the multilevel marketing network.
Finding the right people to sell the product is up to the distributors, but finding the right people to buy the product is up the leads generated by the MLM managers and those from whom those leads are purchased.

Network Marketing: Selling the Dream (Part I)
Are you tired of struggling to make ends meet? Unexcited about driving in rush hour traffic? Burned out at work making your BOSS’S dream come true? You have a choice in life but most people choose to live in constant fear. They are scared to death of failure or success. They feel small. They don’t feel they are good enough or important enough to make a difference. There is a secret to success. All it takes is a dream.
When was the last time you dared to dream? Have your hopes and aspirations been squelched by life and no longer express your dreams to others? Are you no longer asked about our dreams because you are expected to have accomplished and attained them by now? For the vast majority of the population the dream has been replaced by a nightmare. We all continue to seek happiness, security, independence, and riches beyond compare. Many have managed to achieve these things in their life through network marketing.
Network marketing maybe the answer needed to revive your dream machine. However, not everyone is suited for network marketing. But if you have moderate people skills and are a big thinker, network marketing could be right for you. In this the first of four parts, you will find out what a prominent author says about network marketing and why he believes network marketing is the ideal vehicle to wealth and prosperity.
For someone exploring a network marketing opportunity for the first time, the book written by Robert Kiyosaki entitled, “The Business School for People Who Like Helping People” is a book to have. Robert Kiyosaki reviews several ways that one may become rich. However, the path offered by his Rich Dad may be the most realistic and also holds the greatest profit potential. Rich Dad’s path to success is simple just build a business.
Robert Kiyosaki prefers network-marketing businesses because there exists very few barriers to entry. Some of the richest people in the world come from the business quadrant. There is a bad connotation of network marketing and it is because most people don’t understand the purpose of networking. The richest people in the world build networks. Everyone else looks for work.
Network marketing scares some people. It scares your bosses who want to continue to maintain control over you. It scares people in the investment business that hope you will never read any of Robert Kiyosaki’s books and listen to their advice (while they participate in illegal investing techniques with your money). “In network marketing” Kiyosaki says, “they want you to get better. In the workplace, they don’t want you to get better. It’s a rat race.”
The title of this book tells it all — network marketing is not a “get rich quick” vehicle. Rather, it is a business school where the ultimate goal is personal growth. Robert Kiyosaki presents eleven “hidden values” of a network marketing business. This is the ideal tool to help you look beyond the hype, see the network marketing opportunity for what it really is, and set realistic expectations for your personal success. This book gives a solid, realistic foundation from which you can chart your course.
Robert Kiyosaki also says that network marketing is the perfect B-Business for some people but not everybody. It’s all based on values. Some people are weak and need the security of a paycheck. Others, who want freedom and are willing to develop themselves, will find network marketing the Perfect B-Business for them.
Some sophisticated business people like to take cheap shots at network marketing and say it’s not really a business. But how would a MBA know what a real business is when all they are is an employee—the E Quadrant. Network marketing puts you on the B-Quadrant only without investing hundreds of thousands of dollars, having to buy or rent a building, or pay employees. In real estate you use leverage in the form of other peoples money. In network marketing, you use leverage in the form of other people’s contacts, other people’s energy.
There are tax benefits to owning your own network marketing business. As an employee you are paying the absolute maximum in taxes. This is money you can be using to improve your lifestyle, invest in your network marketing company, in real estate or set aside for retirement. And of course, this is the information age. Never has it been easier to reach more people via network marketing than it is right now. (Please contact your tax consultant for specific deductions)
The future is looking very bright for network marketing. Why? There are already several economic trends in place that will drive more and more people to participate in network marketing in the very near future. For one, people are looking for alternatives to the job market. Many people are tired of the long commute, 9-5 routine and the myth of “job security.” They want freedom and network marketing can give that to them.
People are tired of being pushed around by unappreciative employers. Tired of being dedicated to the company hoping for a long tenure only to be downsized. People are also tired of the schemes and scams by brokers, brokerages and mutual fund companies. The average individual does not have or does not want to risk the large capital required for a conventional business.
A dream is not a job. A job can be very tiring and not very rewarding. For some it is working in corporate America for 29 years and on the day you only have 30 days left to retire you are laid off. For others it is working at two fast food restaurants for 80 hours a week and earning minimum wage. Your story may be different but if you have a job you are not working for your dream. You are working to create the dream of your employer become a reality not yours.
Network marketing may very well be the last great opportunity to achieve the American Dream. As Robert points out in his book, networking isn’t for everyone, but it is a great way to create a passive walk away income that will give you freedoms and options in other investments. That’s probably the number one point he makes. You don’t need to become a networking guru, but, you can create a secondary income of $1000, $3000, or even $10,000 a month and use that to live your dreams.
Yes the future does look very bright for network marketing. No doubt network marketing is the wave of the future. Networking is a brilliant idea. In network marketing the average guy without much money can keep their day jobs and start their network marketing business part time. No major capital investment and unlimited income opportunity without risk. You’re in business for yourself, but not by yourself.

Do you Want Leads or Sales for your Mlm?
A very important question people often ask me regarding my new system is:
“Devon…will your system automatically generate leads?”
The fact that I get asked this question so often tells me a lot about the mindset/understanding of individuals.
You see,
People in M1M (in my opinion) are too focused on leads. The selling of “Home Biz Opp” leads is a Multi-Mi11ion dollar business
But let me ask you this:
Is it the LEAD you’re looking for…or the SALE?
When I tell people that I have an “automated system” they often assume that I have a way to generate leads for them.
Technically I guess this is true but in reality its only 1/2 true.
Understanding Internet Marketing as well as I do I know and value the importance of lead generation.
I have the ability to create leads virtually on demand.
So…what if I taught you how to generate leads for yourself?
Truth be told, even to teach you everything I know about lead generation would take a very long time – NOT very efficient.
What if I just sold you the leads (like so many others)?
Well, then you would still have to “sell” them on your opportunity and follow up with them and all of that other non-fun stuff.
You can buy all the leads in the world or generate them for yourself if you know how…but the fact still remains that once you’ve got the leads you’re going to have to sell them on your opportunity.
I could sell a batch of 100 of the same leads to 20 different people and maybe 2 or 3 would actually call/email/contact the leads.
So…what’s my point in telling you all of this?
The point is that an AUTOMATED SYSTEM should do the SELLING as well.
The idea here is that a SYSTEM should take people through the ENTIRE process
Exposing –> Pre-Qualification/Lead Gen –> and Sales!
Remember the question I asked you earlier…are you looking for the lead, or are you looking for the sale?
Please understand that I’m not downing lead generation, I MORE than understand the importance of it. But most people don’t, most people never stay in touch with their leads.
If you are a Marketer… then I highly suggest you get really good at generating leads for yourself. And as time goes on I will gladly point you in the right direction and give you resources on how to learn how to generate a massive number of leads for yourself in any niche market!
But the point of “Automated System” is not to help you get leads but rather to make sales so that your downline grows on auto-pilot
In my opinion, that’s what an automated system is supposed to be.
